Non-Discrimination Policy

The district must provide the specific contact details for its designated Title IX Coordinator(s). This must include: 

• Name and/or Title
• Office address
• Telephone number
• Email address 

District Compliance Officer(s)

• Sex discrimination is prohibited in all education programs and activities operated by the district.
• The requirement not to discriminate extends to both admission and employment.
• Inquiries regarding Title IX can be referred to the district's Title IX Coordinator, the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, or both. 

The Board of Education does not discriminate based on a person's Protected Class(es) in its education programs or activities and does not tolerate unlawful harassment. Protected Classes (which may also be referred to as Protected Categories) include race, color, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related conditions), disability, age, religion, military status, ancestry, genetic information, or any other legally protected characteristics. The Board is an equal opportunity employer. 

Districts must post their comprehensive grievance policies and procedures explaining how sex discrimination and sexual harassment allegations are handled. This information must outline: 

• How to report sex discrimination or file a formal complaint.
• The investigation process and timeline.
• The grievance resolution process used to reach a final determination.

Under 34 C.F.R. § 106.45, districts are legally required to upload and maintain the actual materials used to train Title IX personnel on their websites. This requirement applies to training materials used for: 

• Title IX Coordinators
• Investigators
• Decision-makers
• Any person facilitating an informal resolution process
