Senior Spotlight: School-to-Work Students Lead the Way

The strength of career-technical education is found where learning meets doing.

At Miami Valley Career Technology Center, hands-on experiences give students the opportunity to explore careers, build real-world skills, and step confidently into the workforce before graduation. Through the MVCTC School-to-Work program, students don’t just learn about careers. They actively participate in them.

The School-to-Work program continues to grow each year, offering students opportunities through Apprenticeships, Advanced Placement experiences, and Internships. These experiences allow seniors to earn income, gain industry experience, and build professional connections while completing their final year of high school.

From now through the end of May, MVCTC will highlight our School-to-Work seniors and their dedication to pursuing careers in their chosen fields. These students represent the impact of career-technical education in action. They are learning on the job, contributing to local businesses, and preparing for long-term success after graduation.

Each spotlight will feature a senior currently working in their field, showcasing how hands-on learning at MVCTC leads directly to workforce readiness.
