The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) will proudly celebrate the Class of 2026 during the Senior Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Dayton Arena.

This annual event recognizes the dedication, skill development, and career readiness of MVCTC seniors as they prepare to take their next steps beyond high school.

What This Ceremony Means

The Senior Recognition Ceremony celebrates more than completion of a program—it honors the hard work, perseverance, and hands-on experiences that define an MVCTC education.

From earning industry credentials to gaining real-world experience, the Class of 2026 represents the next generation of skilled professionals, leaders, and innovators.

Important Information for Students

Arrival & Check-In

  • Seniors must arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. and report to their assigned concourse area
  • Gown check begins at 6:00 p.m.
  • Students must be seated on the arena floor by 6:20 p.m.
  • Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate

Dress Expectations

  • Business professional attire is required under gowns
  • No jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, or flip flops
  • Gowns must remain zipped and cannot be decorated
  • No graduation caps are worn at this ceremony

Ceremony Expectations

  • Students will sit with their program and lab instructors
  • Career Passports will be presented during the ceremony
  • Students must remain seated until the ceremony concludes

Behavior Matters

  • Disruptions, pranks, or inappropriate behavior can result in removal from the ceremony
  • This includes actions leading up to the event, not just during it

Important Information for Families & Guests

Entry & Security

  • Guests may enter through the north or south entrances
  • Security screening (including metal detectors) will be in place
  • To speed things up, leave bags and purses at home if possible

Guest Attendance

  • No tickets required
  • Seniors may invite unlimited guests
  • Seating is general admission

What Not to Bring

  • Noisemakers, balloons, signs, laser pointers, food, drinks, or similar items are prohibited
  • These will be confiscated if brought into the arena

Facility Notes

  • Concessions will not be available
  • Only students and staff are permitted on the arena floor
  • Accessible seating and accommodations are available throughout the venue
  • Closed captioning will be provided via QR code for hearing-impaired guests
