MVCTC FFA Members Recognized at 98th Ohio FFA Convention & Expo

Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) FFA members proudly represented the chapter during the 98th Ohio FFA Convention & Expo held in Columbus, Ohio, celebrating a year filled with leadership, service, career development, and student achievement.

MVCTC students participating in both overnight and day convention trips attended recognition sessions, leadership activities, and convention events alongside thousands of FFA members from across Ohio. One of the chapter’s highlights included recognition for charitable giving to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Dayton. Josie Kowalski (Ag & Livestock Production/Vandalia-Butler) accepted the recognition on behalf of the MVCTC FFA Chapter.

Convention participants represented a wide range of accomplishments, including newly elected officers, Gold Rated Officer Book recipients, State Degree earners, Career Development Event (CDE) champions, Agriscience Fair participants, and convention band members.

MVCTC also proudly recognized students who earned the prestigious Ohio FFA State Degree, the highest honor the Ohio FFA Association can bestow upon members. Recipients included:

  • Angela Graf (Ag & Livestock Production/Ansonia)
  • Allyson Greene (Veterinary Science/Valley View)
  • Summer Harter (Veterinary Science/Mississinawa Valley)
  • Grant Heiser (Natural Resource Management/Eaton)
  • Aubrey Hofferbert (Ag & Livestock Production/Brookville)
  • Madalynn Kinder (Veterinary Science/Bethel)
  • Cora Monnig (Ag & Livestock Production/Brookville)
  • JJ Vocke (Diesel Power Technologies/Franklin Monroe)
  • Bryce Watson (Ag & Livestock Production/Mississinawa Valley)

In addition, Animal Care & Management students Sierra Faris (Stebbins) and Makenzie Csaplik (Mississinawa Valley) were selected to perform with the State FFA Band during convention sessions. Brooke Denlinger (Brookville), Ag & Livestock Production senior, earned recognition for receiving a Gold-rated Secretary Officer Book award. MVCTC also celebrated State CDE Champion Will Beisner (Natural Resource Management/Arcanum-Butler) in Nature Interpretation.
