MVCTC Celebrates Class of 2026 at Senior Recognition Ceremony

Miami Valley Career Technology Center proudly celebrated the Class of 2026 during the MVCTC Senior Recognition Ceremony held Friday, May 15, 2026, at the University of Dayton Arena.

This year, a record number of seniors participated in the ceremony, with 869 students eligible to take part. Of those students, 210 earned a Certificate of Recognition with Honors, while 413 received a Certificate of Recognition.

Collectively, the Class of 2026 earned more than $7,795,000 in scholarships, showcasing the dedication, talent, and hard work of MVCTC students and staff.

The ceremony also recognized students receiving scholarships and special honors for academic achievement and career-technical excellence.

MVCTC Education Foundation Department Scholarships

Each MVCTC department awards a $500 scholarship to the most qualified student based on a written application and instructor recommendations.

Treva & Robert Sidle Scholarship

The Treva and Robert Sidle $2,000 Scholarship is awarded to a senior from each of our five career clusters who has demonstrated exemplary academic and career-technical talent at MVCTC. The scholarship honors Treva Sidle, who taught at Phillipsburg and Dayton until her retirement in 1978. She then touched the lives of JVS/CTC students for the next 20 years as a beloved substitute teacher. She passed away in August 2006. MVCTC is honored that our students and staff were recipients of Treva Sidle’s wonderful talents. Her dedication to education will long be remembered and serve as an inspiration to everyone.

The $1,000 Superintendent Scholarship is awarded to two outstanding seniors.

Class of 2026 Valedictorians

Aubrey Andel - Sports Medicine student from Brookville
Aubrey plans to attend the University of Findlay to study exercise science on a pre-physical therapy track. She participated in marching band, concert band, pep band, swim team, Key Club, HOSA, science fairs, and the National Technical Honor Society.

Teron-Malie Daley - Firefighter/EMS student from Huber Heights
Teron-Malie plans to attend Sinclair Community College to earn her EMT certification and pursue a career with the Huber Heights Fire Department. She participated in theatre productions including Dracula, Clue, and Once Upon A Mattress.

Cassaundra Daugherty - Pre-Nursing student from Eaton 
Cassaundra plans to attend IU East to pursue a nursing degree. She was active in band, drama, marching band, color guard, winter guard, and HOSA.

Delaney Franck - Sports Medicine student from Bethel 
Delaney plans to attend Eastern Michigan University to study health sciences on a pre-occupational therapy track. She participated in soccer, track, musical theatre, choir, HOSA, Science Fair, and the National Technical Honor Society.

Emma Harris - Robotics & Automation student from Northmont 
Emma plans to attend Wright State University to major in Mechanical Engineering. She participated in SkillsUSA and Xtreme STEM XBots competitions.

Lindsay Reider - Dental Assisting student from Brookville 
Lindsay will work at Golden Oak Dentistry while attending Sinclair Community College for Dental Hygiene. She participated in Relay for Life, NHS, Student Council, athletics, yearbook, HOSA, and the National Technical Honor Society.

Noah Seim - Architectural Design student from New Lebanon
Noah plans to attend Miami University to study architecture. He participated in the National Honor Society, Hope Squad, tennis, and the National Technical Honor Society.

Connor Slentz - Pre-Engineering student from Northmont 
Connor will attend Holy Cross College and the University of Notre Dame as a Driscoll Scholar in a dual-degree program studying civil engineering and business. He participated in wrestling and baseball and served as an MVCTC Student Ambassador.

Samuel Stukey - Computer Repair & Technical Support student from Northmont 
Samuel gained technical and problem-solving skills through MVCTC’s Computer Repair & Technical Support program, preparing him for a future in information technology.

Salutatorian

Braiden Thompson - Welding student from Preble Shawnee 
Through hands-on technical training, he has prepared for a career in the skilled trades while demonstrating dedication, precision, and an outstanding work ethic.
