FCCLA Students Earn National Honors at 2025 FCCLA Leadership Conference
Four outstanding students from the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) represented Ohio and their respective home schools with excellence at the 2025 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) National Leadership Conference (NLC), held from July 5 to 9 in Orlando, Florida.
More than 8,000 students, advisers, and guests gathered for the national event focused on career development, leadership, and competition through FCCLA’s Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Events. MVCTC is proud to announce the following student accomplishments:

Krishia Ewing (Culinary Arts, West Carrollton) – 2nd in the Nation, Leadership, Gold Medal

Ashlyn Bailey (Culinary Arts, Miamisburg) – Entrepreneurship, Gold Medal

Emma Bergbigler (Culinary Arts, Eaton) – Leadership, Silver Medal

Ayanna New (Culinary Arts, Arcanum-Butler) – Job Interview, Gold Medal
Each student demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and career readiness while competing against top students from across the country.
Throughout the week, students participated in workshops, networking events, and competitive experiences designed to strengthen their leadership and technical skills. The experience provided students with valuable insight into their future career paths and the impact of youth-led initiatives in their schools and communities.
MVCTC Culinary Arts instructors and FCCLA advisor Chef Cortney Berbigler expressed her pride in the students' accomplishments and professional representation of MVCTC and the state of Ohio.
