Firefighter / EMS

The Firefighter/EMS program at MVCTC prepares students for careers in fire services and emergency medical care. Students will learn critical skills such as fire control, communications, forcible entry, ventilation, and the use of fire protection systems. They will also study emergency medical care, including CPR, first aid, patient assessment, and the legal and medical aspects of EMS. Students will gain hands-on experience with hazardous materials, ropes, building construction, and fire alarms, while receiving training in human body systems, lifting and moving patients, and using EMS equipment. The program offers certifications such as Ohio Firefighter II and CPR/First Aid, and college credit opportunities through Sinclair College, preparing students for rewarding careers in fire services, emergency medical services, and hazardous materials management.
