Computer Repair & Technical Support
The Computer Repair & Technical Support program at MVCTC prepares students for the fast-paced world of computer troubleshooting and maintenance. Students will learn about the latest computer operating systems, applications, and tools, and gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and fixing computer hardware and software issues. Students will also learn to use and troubleshoot 3D printers, an essential skill in today’s tech industry. As part of their training, students operate and maintain a computer repair shop for MVCTC staff, providing real-world experience. Work-based learning opportunities, including advanced placement and internships, allow students to gain additional hands-on experience. Students can earn certifications such as CompTIA A+, IT Fundamentals, TestOut PCPro, and IT Fundamentals Pro, with college credit options through Edison State Community College, Hocking College, and Sinclair College, setting them up for success in IT support and repair careers.
