Transform your high school experience with the Career Compass program! This transition-to-work initiative equips students with essential job skills and career exploration opportunities to prepare for life after graduation.

  • Hands-On Learning: Hands-on learning is the heart of what we do. The Compass Program is specifically designed to give students the opportunity to explore a variety of MVCTC labs, helping them discover a career pathway that fits their strengths and interests.
  • Career Pathway Rotation: Explore various career pathways, trying out different roles while acquiring transferable skills applicable across multiple job sectors.
  • Workplace Readiness: Understand workplace expectations and develop the behaviors necessary to thrive as a valuable employee.
  • Independent Living Skills: Practice essential skills that will prepare you for successful adulthood.
  • Employability Training: Build critical skills in teamwork, responsibility, and communication to enhance your job readiness.

Important: Students are encouraged to consult with their partner school counselor prior to applying to determine if this program aligns with their individual needs and goals. Enrollment is intended for students who may not be able to fully access traditional career-technical education, even with accommodations, and who would benefit from a more supportive, individualized approach.
