Sports Medicine

The Sports Medicine program at MVCTC prepares students for a high-demand career in the health and fitness industry by offering a comprehensive curriculum in injury evaluation, rehabilitation, fitness assessments, and exercise prescription. Students will gain hands-on experience in athletic training techniques, injury prevention, fitness program design, and facilities management. They will also have the opportunity to conduct high-level research projects and participate in Science Fair Competitions. Students will learn to use a wide range of fitness equipment and measurement tools to assess respiratory response, metabolic rate, body composition, strength, endurance, and more. With certifications such as ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and CPR First Aid, and college credit opportunities through Sinclair College and Hocking College, graduates are well-prepared for careers in sports medicine, exercise science, and athletic training.

Program Highlights
