Pre-Nursing
The Pre-Nursing Program at MVCTC prepares students for healthcare careers by offering in-depth training in medical terminology, practices, and ethics. Students will participate in hands-on learning experiences such as clinicals, job shadowing, and off-campus activities to enhance their education. Juniors will complete their State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) clinicals at local nursing homes, gaining valuable real-world experience. The program is designed to challenge students and prepare them for college-level nursing programs, including Registered Nursing (RN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees. Students will work with patient simulators and develop essential nursing skills such as personal care, activities of daily living, wound care, medication administration, and vital sign assessments.
