Heating, Ventilation,& Air Conditioning (HVAC)

Take control of indoor climates with MVCTC’s Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) program, where you’ll gain the skills to install, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems. Learn to read wiring diagrams, charge air conditioning systems, interpret gauges, and fabricate sheet metal while working hands-on with industry-standard equipment. Earn certifications such as NCCER Core, NCCER Level 1 HVAC, and multiple Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Recovery certifications, including Universal Certification. With work-based learning, pre-apprenticeship opportunities, and college credit connections through Edison State Community College and Sinclair College, this program sets you on the path to a rewarding career in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.

Program Highlights

  • Master HVAC System Diagnostics – Learn to read wiring diagrams and gauges to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot heating and air conditioning units.

  • Hands-On Refrigeration Training – Gain experience charging air conditioning systems and working with refrigerants to ensure efficient system performance.

  • Sheet Metal Fabrication Skills – Develop the ability to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal components used in HVAC ductwork and system installations.
