Diesel Power Technologies

Fuel your future with MVCTC’s Diesel Power Technologies program, where you’ll gain the skills to diagnose, service, and repair agricultural, industrial, and over-the-road diesel equipment. Over two years, you’ll get hands-on training with advanced engine systems, steering and suspension, brakes, and electrical diagnostics. Earn industry-recognized certifications, including ASE Student certifications in Medium Heavy Truck Diesel, Brakes, and Electrical Systems, as well as the Ohio State Apprenticeship Council Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate. Take advantage of work-based learning opportunities, advanced placement, or pre-apprenticeships to jumpstart your career. With college connections at Clark State Community College, Sinclair College, and the University of Northwestern Ohio, this program sets you on the path to a high-demand career in diesel mechanics and transportation technology.

Program Highlights

  • Comprehensive Diesel & Gas Engine Training – Learn to service, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul diesel and gas machinery, small engines, and outdoor power equipment.

  • Hands-On Experience with Heavy Equipment – Diagnose, repair, and operate modern light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, as well as agricultural and heavy construction equipment.

  • Master Advanced Systems & Techniques – Gain expertise in hydraulics, electronic systems, fuel systems, equipment operation, and welding for a well-rounded skill set in the diesel industry.
