Animal Care & Management
Turn your love for animals into a rewarding career with MVCTC’s Animal Care & Management program! Gain hands-on experience working in the campus pet shop and grooming salon while learning about animal behavior, grooming techniques, and business management. Between your junior and senior year, you’ll implement a small animal reproduction project, deepening your understanding of animal care. Seniors take on leadership roles, assisting with feeding and care rotations on weekends and school breaks. Earn valuable industry certifications, including the Level 1 Wildlife Rehabilitation Certification through Brukner Nature Center, and gain real-world experience through work-based learning or internships. With college credit opportunities at Edison State Community College and Sinclair College, this program prepares you for careers in animal care, veterinary assisting, and pet services.
