Career Technical Student Organizations

Career-Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are an essential part of career preparation at MVCTC. These organizations provide students with opportunities to enhance their education through leadership development, technical skill-building, competitions, and community service.

Each MVCTC career-technical program is affiliated with a CTSO, such as BPAFCCLAFFAHOSA, or SkillsUSA. Through participation, students engage in hands-on, project-based experiences that help prepare them for success in their future careers.

Competitions begin at the local level, but students have the opportunity to advance to regional, state, and even national contests. Every year, MVCTC students earn state officer positions and qualify for national CTSO competitions, traveling across the country to showcase their skills and represent MVCTC.

CTSOs help shape students into well-rounded, career-ready professionals by fostering teamwork, confidence, and leadership skills—giving them a competitive edge in their chosen fields.
